Coffee with Science

The main purpose of this event is to overcome the stereotype of a scientist who is confined in a laboratory, since the secondary school students could sit with them and know the importance of their work, a knowledge that may awaken their future scientific vocations.

NeCS researchers Davide Ferraris (ESR3) and Martin Kolar (ESR4) from UMA participated in the event organised by the University of Malaga on the 20th of November 2018. They explained to secondary school students issues about trust in information exchange and security of the Internet of Things. More than 20 researchers working on 16 different topics have talked about them and their research with around 250 secondary school students of Malaga schools.
